Stefano Chiodini
Biography
Dr. Stefano Chiodini is a surgeon at the General Surgery Unit of the Istituto Clinico Città di Brescia.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Modena in 1977. In 1987, he specialized in General Surgery at the University of Trieste, and in 1995, he obtained a specialization in Thoracic Surgery from the University of Verona.
In 1992, Dr. Chiodini participated in a prestigious Liver Transplantation Fellowship program at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, USA, further enhancing his expertise in hepatobiliary surgery.
Dr. Chiodini specializes in:
- Digestive tract surgery: stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, and anus.
- Surgery of the bile ducts and liver.
- Abdominal wall surgery: treatment of hernias and laparoceles.
In 2019, he served as a volunteer surgeon at the Mtendere Mission Hospital in Chirundu, Zambia, reflecting his humanitarian commitment.
Dr. Chiodini has published numerous articles in both national and international journals.
