Biography

Dr. Stefania Chiarenza is the Head of the Wound Care Center at the Istituti Clinici Zucchi in Monza and at the Istituto Clinico Villa Aprica.

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Catania in 2004 and specialized in General Surgery at the University of Milan – Bicocca in 2011.

From 2008 to 2011, she worked as a surgical resident at the Unit of Surgery III of the Nuovo S. Gerardo dei Tintori Hospital in Monza.

Between 2013 and 2019, Dr. Chiarenza worked as a General Surgeon, performing outpatient consultations, surgeries, and inpatient care at the Wound Care Center of the Istituti Clinici Zucchi in Monza and at the outpatient clinic of the Istituto Clinico Villa Aprica in Como, under the direction of Dr. Roberto Brambilla.

From 2019 to 2022, she served as an Emergency Physician at ASST A. Manzoni Hospital in Lecco, providing emergency care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since 2001, Dr. Chiarenza has been involved in scientific research, initially in an academic setting and later in clinical practice.

She has participated as a speaker in numerous scientific congresses and has several publications in prestigious national and international journals.
