Simona Marchesi
Biography
Dr. Simona Marchesi is an orthopedic surgeon in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit, Section III, at Istituto Clinico Città di Brescia.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Brescia in 2001 and specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the same university in 2006.
In 2004, she worked for six months as an orthopedic surgery assistant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, England. Later that year, she also served for four months as an orthopedic surgery assistant at Sos Main Clinique in Strasbourg, France.
Dr. Marchesi performs both surgical and outpatient activities. Her surgical expertise includes:
- Shoulder and knee arthroscopies
- Knee prosthesis
- Correction of hallux valgus and toe deformities
- Congenital flatfoot
- Hand conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger
In the outpatient setting, she manages a wide range of orthopedic conditions and provides treatments such as intra-articular injections and focused shockwave therapy. She has authored six publications and given eleven presentations at conferences.
