Silvia Comini
Biography
Dr. Silvia Comini is an internist at the Istituto Clinico S. Anna in Brescia since 2008.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1999 from the University of Brescia with a score of 110/110 with honors. She then specialized in Internal Medicine with a focus on Emergency Medicine in 2004, also at the University of Brescia (with training at Spedali Civili di Brescia), achieving a score of 50/50 with honors.
From 1999 to 2004, Dr. Comini worked at the II Medical Division of Spedali Civili di Brescia as a Resident in Internal Medicine, where she provided inpatient care (from 2001 to 2003 in the sub-intensive care section) and outpatient services (including the application and interpretation of Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring and ECG Holter).
She volunteered as a physician in 2002 at Mama Ashu Hospital in Chacas, Peru, and in 2004 at Goundi Hospital in Chad.
From 2003 to 2004, she performed active day and night shifts at the Nobile Paolo Richiedei Foundation Hospital and Nursing Home.
From 2005 to 2008, she worked at Casa di Cura Villa Gemma (in the Functional Rehabilitation Division and the Internal Medicine/Respiratory and Cardiological Rehabilitation Division), where she also served as Quality Coordinator.
In 2005, Dr. Comini obtained the National Diploma in Internal Medicine Ultrasound.
Since 2008, she has been providing inpatient care at the Functional Rehabilitation Unit at Istituto Clinico S. Anna, focusing on functional rehabilitation after major orthopedic surgeries (hip and knee replacements).
She also collaborates with the Radiology Department, where she conducts outpatient abdominal ultrasound examinations.
Throughout her career, Dr. Comini has also focused on cardiovascular diseases, particularly arterial hypertension.
She has conducted research in the pathophysiology, clinical practice, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, particularly arterial hypertension.
