Silvana Pagliuca

Prof. Silvana Pagliuca is a Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and Neuropsychologist at the Clinical Psychology Service of IRCCS Policlinico San Donato in Milan.

She graduated in Psychology from the Guglielmo Marconi University in 2012.

After obtaining her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, she registered with the Order of Psychologists of Lombardy. In the same year, she attended the Functional Antistress Treatment Training Course at the European School of Functional Psychotherapy.

In 2020, she enrolled at the European School of Functional Psychotherapy, where she completed her specialization in Psychotherapy.

Also in 2020, she pursued a Master's in Clinical Neuropsychology at Esneca Business School.

She is certified in Functional Antistress Treatment and completed a Master's in Neuropsychology with subsequent advanced courses.

Prof. Pagliuca is an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist for trauma management.

Clinical activities:

• Neuropsychological assessments
• Psychotherapy
• Psychological support
• Cognitive rehabilitation for both inpatients and outpatients at the Clinical Psychology Department

She also deals with psychological issues related to:

• Mood disorders
• Anxiety disorders
• Personality disorders
• Psychosomatic disorders
• Stress management

She conducts psychodiagnostic activities to assess psychological-clinical problems and adaptive and dysfunctional personality strategies.

In the field of aging and cognitive function pathologies, she performs neuropsychological assessments and neurocognitive rehabilitation in collaboration with the Neurology Unit in the Neuropsychology Outpatient Clinic.

She is a tutor for psychology undergraduates and psychotherapy trainees.

Additionally, she teaches at the University of Milan in the Nursing Science Degree Program and provides ECM training for healthcare personnel at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.

She participates in several research projects within the Policlinico San Donato related to:

• Psychological functioning
• Quality of life
• Perception of health status in individuals with congenital and acquired heart diseases

She also collaborates on various neuroscience studies focusing on predicting the progression to Alzheimer's disease in patients diagnosed with Amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and on studying cognitive functioning before and after cardiac surgery, both transcatheter (TAVI) and open (SAVR).

Prof. Pagliuca is an ordinary member of the Italian Society of Functional Psychology (SIF).
