Sergio Agradi
Biography
Dr. Sergio Agradi is the Head of the Proctology and Pelviperineology Unit at Policlinico San Pietro.
In 1989, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, where he earned a specialization in General Surgery with honors in 1994.
Since 2001, he has served as the head and coordinator of centers for colon proctological and pelvic perineal surgery in Monza, Novara, Milan, and Bergamo.
Throughout his career, Dr. Agradi has specialized in proctology and pelviperineology, particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of functional disorders of the ano-rectal area and pelvic floor, colon-proctological and pelvic-perianal diagnostics, and the management of chronic pelvic pain.
His interests include the application of new technologies in medical and surgical fields, focusing on laparoscopic, robotic, and minimally invasive surgery, as well as the use of mechanical staplers in colon proctological and pelvic perineal surgery. Additionally, he has served as a national tutor for the Transtar surgical technique.
Dr. Agradi has performed over 8,000 procedures, including colon proctological surgery, functional pelvic floor surgery, colorectal surgery with robotic approaches, surgery for constipation and obstructed defecation, and procedures for complex pelvic-perineal prolapses.
He is a board member of the SIUCP-ETS (Italian Society of Colonproctology) and coordinator of the UCP Bergamo.
Dr. Agradi is also the author and co-author of several scientific publications.
