Salvatore Giglio

Dr. Salvatore Giglio is the Head of the Ophthalmology Unit at Istituto Clinico San Siro in Milan.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Tor Vergata in Rome in 1990 and specialized in Ophthalmology at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan in 1994.

Since 1995, Dr. Giglio has worked as a private practitioner at various locations of the Italian Diagnostic Center. Between 1996 and 1999, he served as Medical Director in the Pediatric Ophthalmology Division of Niguarda Hospital in Milan. Throughout his career, he has performed numerous surgeries, particularly cataract surgery, refractive surgery, surgeries of the adnexa and anterior segment, and strabismus surgery, while also practicing laser-based parachirurgical therapies.

Dr. Giglio is the author and co-author of numerous articles published in national and international journals and regularly participates in national congresses.
