Biography
Dr. Riccardo Schiavina is the Head of the Cardiology Service at the Istituti Clinici Zucchi. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1979 and specialized in Cardiology and Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Pavia in 1985.
His professional journey began during his specialization as a cardiology medical assistant in the Coronary Unit of ASST Monza, San Gerardo Hospital. Over the years, he advanced to the role of Assistant Head Physician in the Cardio Coronary Unit within the Cardiology Division at the same hospital, focusing particularly on echocardiographic diagnostics, including pharmacological stress echocardiography and intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography.
Throughout his career, Dr. Schiavina became the Head of the Cardiology Unit at San Giuseppe Hospital in Milan and the Head of the Non-Invasive Cardiological Diagnostics Unit at Desio Hospital (MB). Additionally, he served as the Director of the Ambulatory Cardiological Diagnostics Department at ASST Monza, San Gerardo Hospital, for four years.
In the educational field, he has acted as a tutor for cardiology specialty training at the University of Milan and for neurology and pediatric cardiology at the University of Milan Bicocca.
Dr. Schiavina has authored numerous publications in the field of cardiology, particularly in echocardiography, in both Italian and international journals. At Istituti Clinici Zucchi, he focuses on outpatient cardiology, conducting cardiological visits, color-Doppler echocardiography, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and ECGs.
