Riccardo Galli

Dr. Riccardo Galli is a urologist at the Urology II Operative Unit of Policlinico San Marco. He also collaborates with Smart Clinic.

He earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Insubria in 2009 and completed his specialization in Urology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Throughout his professional career, which has taken place in prestigious hospitals both in Italy and abroad, he has gained extensive surgical experience, particularly in open, endourological, and minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures for the treatment of both benign and malignant conditions.

Endourology utilizes small and thin instruments, including laser fibers, electrocautery tools, telescopic forceps, and miniaturized baskets, allowing surgical procedures to be performed without large incisions. This results in reduced surgical stress for the patient and faster recovery times.

Dr. Galli has participated in numerous training courses and national and international congresses, where he has also performed live surgery.

He is the author and co-author of scientific articles published in indexed journals and has contributed presentations at national and international congresses.

Since 2014, he has served as an Associate Editor for the scientific journal BMC Urology.
