Biography
Dr. Pietro Saldutto is a urologist at the Urology II Unit of Policlinico San Marco.
In 2009, he graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of L'Aquila. In 2014, he specialized, also with honors, in Urology at the "G. D’Annunzio" University of Chieti-Pescara.
In 2015, he participated as a winner in the "Columbus SIU Project" fellowship in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robot-assisted surgery at the Martin Luther Universitaetsklinikum in Halle, Germany.
Dr. Saldutto has consolidated his experience at various hospital facilities in Abruzzo, Campania, and Lombardy.
His main technical skills include urological and andrological ultrasound (kidneys, bladder, prostate, scrotum, penis), transrectal and transperineal prostate biopsy, fusion software and cognitive mpMRI/TRUS, flexible cystoscopy, endoscopic surgery of the lower urinary tract (TUR-P, HoLEP, ThuLEP, PVP Green laser TUR-B) and the upper urinary tract (ULT, RIRS, PCNL, ECIRS), minimally invasive surgery, traditional laparoscopy (radical nephrectomy, nephroureterectomy), and robot-assisted surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System (RARP, RAPN).
In 2014, he was a lecturer in the first-level Master's program in Urogynecological Rehabilitation at the University of L'Aquila. He has been an adjunct clinical professor in Urology at Humanitas University for the academic years 2022/2023, 2023/2024, and 2024/2025.
Dr. Saldutto is a member of several societies: EAU (European Association of Urology), SIU (Italian Society of Urology), SIA (Italian Society of Andrology). From 2019 to 2021, he was a member of the board of directors of ACU (Campania Urology Association).
He consistently participates, also as a speaker, in national and international conferences and professional training and updating courses.
He is also the author of numerous national and international scientific publications.
