Pietro Bassi
Biography
Dr. Pietro Bassi is a neurologist at Palazzo della Salute-Wellness Clinic, where he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of headaches, muscle cramps, dizziness, restless legs syndrome, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, sleep problems, Parkinson’s disease, and cerebrovascular conditions.
In 1975, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pavia with top marks, and in 1979, he obtained a specialization in Neurology, again with top marks.
Dr. Bassi's career began in the Neurology Unit of Salvini Hospital in Garbagnate Milanese, where, from 1976 to 1987, he served first as an assistant and then as a specialist.
From 1987 to 1993, he worked at Luigi Sacco Hospital, where he was involved in inpatient and outpatient care, while from 1993 to 2001, he was the Director of the Neurology Unit at the Saronno branch of the Busto Arsizio Hospital.
From 2001 to 2010, he served as Director of the Neurology Unit at San Carlo Hospital in Milan.
Since September 2020, at Palazzo della Salute-Wellness Clinic, he has served as the neurologist for the following:

- Muscle Cramp Diagnosis and Treatment Center
- Dizziness Diagnosis and Treatment Center
- Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Diagnosis and Treatment Center
- Restless Legs Syndrome Diagnosis and Treatment Center

- Sleep Disorders Center
- Cerebrovascular Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center
This allows him to guide patients through their diagnostic, therapeutic, and multidisciplinary journey to determine the causes of their condition or disorder and identify the most appropriate treatment.
Among his academic experiences, he was a contract professor at the Neurology Specialty School at the University of Milan from 1988 to 1996, teaching “Neurological Clinic, Cerebrovascular Pathology.”
In terms of research, his studies have mainly focused on cerebrovascular diseases, headaches, dizziness, extrapyramidal diseases, neurophysiology (EEG and Evoked Potentials), and Informatics and Medicine.
Author of over 120 publications, primarily on cerebrovascular pathology, headaches, and Parkinson’s disease, Dr. Bassi has participated in numerous multicenter vascular studies of phases 2 and 3. He is also an organizer and speaker at various regional and national neurological events.
Previously Regional Secretary of the Italian Society of Neurology (SIN) and the Society of Hospital Neurosciences (SNO), he is currently a member of the Regional Commission on Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases and the Regional Commission on Multiple Sclerosis.
