Biography
Dr. Piero Budassi is an orthopedic surgeon at Smart Clinic.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1985 from the University of Pavia and completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1991 at the University of Milan.
After his specialization, he continued his education with a Master’s in Spinal Deformities Surgery and another in Spinal Surgery, as well as numerous training courses related to spine pathology, deformities, tumors, cervical pathologies, hand surgery, shoulder surgery, and microsurgery. Additionally, in 2006, he completed a managerial training course for Complex Structure Directors at the Lombardy Region.
Throughout his career, Dr. Budassi has collaborated with various orthopedic clinics and hospital facilities in Cremona, where he focused primarily on outpatient care and also served as a medical director and head of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Complex Structure.
He has been a contract professor for Physiotherapy, Kinesiotherapy, and Kinesiological Treatment of Orthopedic Conditions at the University of Brescia and the Rehabilitation Therapist School in Cremona.
Dr. Budassi holds three patents related to:
- Screw for the stabilization of a bone fracture and related kit - 2008
- Glenoid support for shoulder prosthesis - 2011
- Humeral implant for shoulder prosthesis - 2012
He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific articles published in national and international journals and has participated in many national and international congresses, both as a speaker and moderator.
