Pierdenisa Giardini

Biography

Dr. Pierdenisa Giardini is an internal medicine doctor at the Casa di Cura la Madonnina.

She graduated in medicine and surgery at the University of Pavia in 1980 and specialized in internal medicine in 1987. She completed her studies at the Vodder School in Lausanne, becoming a lecturer in Vodder method of Manual Lymph Drainage in 1982.

Dr Giardini specializes in lymphology, physiotherapy, medical rehabilitation and internal medicine at the Casa di Cura la Madonnina. He treats patients with primary and secondary lymphedema, prescribing the necessary tests and therapies. In addition, she carries out follow-up of patients after conservative and post-operative treatment.

She teaches the Vodder method in Italy and abroad, organizes manual lymphatic drainage courses for physiotherapists and participates in international congresses as a speaker.

She has been studying lymphedema since 1979 and set up a lymphedema outpatient clinic at the Hospital Ospedale S.Andrea in Vercelli in collaboration with the Italian Cancer League (LILT).

She co-founded the Lymphedema Center (www.centrolinfedema.it) in collaboration with Drs. Soresina and Menozzi. She works as a consultant physician for the treatment of lymphedema at the Ermitage Bel Air Medical Hotel in Abano-Terme. She published two papers with Pavia radiology and Fatebenefratelli radiology.
