Biography
Dr. Paulin Francis Lawson is the Head of the Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy Service at the Istituto Clinico Beato Matteo in Vigevano. He is also an On-Call Physician and Emergency Room Doctor at the Emergency Department of the Azienda Ospedaliera della Provincia di Pavia in Mortara.
He began his training in 1987, obtaining his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Université Nationale du Bénin-Cotonou. This degree was later validated in 2002 by the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, where he specialized in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy in 1992.
His professional experience includes a five-year collaboration with Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza in San Giovanni Rotondo (1988-1992), where he gained significant qualifications in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy. From 1994 to 2001, he was the Head of the Hepatogastroenterology Clinic at the Centre de Diagnostic et d’Urgences Padre Pio in Cotonou, Benin. He then returned to Italy to become the Head of the Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy Service at the Istituto Clinico Beato Matteo in Vigevano, a position he still holds.
Dr. Lawson also participates as a lecturer in numerous Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses in the field of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to updating his expertise in the field.
