Orietta Calcinoni

Dr. Orietta Calcinoni is an otolaryngologist and phoniatrician at the Istituto Clinico San Siro.

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1982 from the University of Milan, where she later specialized in Phoniatrics in 1985 and in Otolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Pathology in 1988.

Professional Experience:

• Since 1987, Dr. Calcinoni has been working with the Health Service of Teatro alla Scala, where she has served as the appointed ORL Phoniatrician since 2009.
• From 1993 to 2010, she was an ORL outpatient specialist at the RSA facilities of the Municipality of Milan.
• From 1998 to 2015, she was an ORL outpatient specialist at the INAIL Lombardy Regional Diagnostic Center.
• From 1998 to 2002, she was an ORL specialist at the “A. Mosso” Institute of Legal Medicine of the Italian Air Force.
• From 1983 to 2019, she served as an ORL outpatient specialist in various clinics in Milan and the surrounding areas.
• Since 2020, she has been an ORL outpatient specialist at the Istituto Clinico San Siro in Milan.

Dr. Calcinoni specializes in phoniatric/ORL functions and disorders, including hearing, balance, smell, taste, voice, and related cervicothoracic areas.

She has developed significant expertise in medicolegal insurance work, occupational prevention, professional voice and hearing (artistic and non-artistic).

Her research interests include vocal dosimetry, phytotherapy applied to the voice, analysis of particulate matter during artistic activities, and the study of early Italian ORL texts and their interaction with singing teachers.

Dr. Calcinoni has several publications in prestigious national and international scientific journals and books.
