Nicola Arrighi

Dr. Nicola Arrighi is a urologist at the Urology Unit of Istituto Clinico Città di Brescia.

After graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 2006 from the University of Brescia, he specialized in Urology in 2012 at the same institution.

During his training period, he honed his skills in minimally invasive surgery with study periods at Halle-Wittemberg University and Université de Strasbourg-IRCAD.

Following his specialization, he developed a keen interest in Reproductive Medicine, obtaining both a Specialization Course in 2014 and a Level II Master’s degree in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Padua.

Dr. Arrighi continuously works as a hospital urologist and in the Operating Room, where he performs small, medium, and high-intensity procedures as the lead surgeon.

He is also an andrology consultant at the local Assisted Reproduction Center and coordinates the activities of the Male Gamete Cryopreservation Center.

He has over 40 indexed publications in peer-reviewed journals, most of which are as the first author.

He currently serves as a Reviewer (in some cases achieving the title of "Outstanding Reviewer") for numerous European and American journals, including:

• The Journal of Urology
• Journal of Endourology
• Clinical Genitourinary Cancer
• European Journal of Surgical Oncology
• Urologic Oncology

Annually, he presents 2-4 posters or publications at National and International conferences.

Over the years, he has received various awards, including:

• Diamond Award 2011 (SIU-GSK, Best Research Work in Northern Italy)
• Bracci Award (awarded by the Italian Urological Society for Best Publication in Urology in 2013)
• Best Poster at SIRU 2018 Congress (Italian Society of Human Reproduction)
