Michele Ciocca Vasino
Biography
Dr. Michele Ciocca Vasino is the Head of the General Surgery Unit at Policlinico San Pietro.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pavia in 1988 and obtained his specialization in Emergency and Trauma Surgery from the same university in 1993.
Dr. Ciocca Vasino began his career in 1990 as a surgeon, first as an assistant and later as a senior surgeon. He has also served as a tutor for surgical residents at the University of Milan.
He has performed over 5,000 surgeries, including general surgery, oncological surgery of the digestive tract, hepatobiliopancreatic surgery, and emergency surgery as a first assistant. Additionally, he has conducted 3,000 surgeries in colorectal, hepatobiliopancreatic, oncological, and emergency surgery as the primary operator.
Dr. Ciocca Vasino has attended numerous training courses in advanced hepatobiliopancreatic and minimally invasive gastrointestinal oncology surgery.
