Biography
Dr. Maurizio Pietrogrande is an internist at Policlinico San Marco and Smart Clinic. He also collaborates with the Centro Diagnostico di Treviglio.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1974 and specialized in Internal Medicine at the same university in 1981.
He has served as a research fellow, researcher, and finally, adjunct professor, teaching in various specialty schools, including those focusing on liver and metabolic diseases, clinical psychology, clinical immunology and allergology, metabolic diseases and clinical nutrition, and internal and emergency medicine, for nursing science courses at the University of Milan.
From 2001 to 2015, Dr. Pietrogrande was the Director of the Internal Medicine Unit at Policlinico San Marco.
Since 1999, he has been a board member of the Association for the Fight Against Cryoglobulinemia and the Association for Autoimmune Diseases.
His scientific activity has primarily focused on three fields: diseases and pathophysiology of metabolism, the application of General Systems Theory in medicine, and immunopathology and clinical immunology.
