Matteo Annoni

Dr. Matteo Annoni is a General Surgeon at the Clinicalized Unit of General Surgery at Istituti Clinici Zucchi in Monza, directed by Professor Angelo Guttadauro.

His educational journey began in 2004 when he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan Bicocca, presenting an experimental thesis titled "Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemoperfusion in Locally Advanced Abdominal Neoplasms." In 2010, he specialized in General Surgery at the University of Insubria.

Since 2005, Dr. Annoni has participated as both a primary and assistant surgeon in over two thousand major, minor, and outpatient surgical procedures.

At Istituti Clinici Zucchi, his main areas of interest include:

• Thyroid and parathyroid surgery, utilizing new technologies for monitoring the recurrent laryngeal nerve and controlling hemostasis.
• General surgery (including gallbladder surgery, abdominal wall surgery, and proctology).

Throughout his career, Dr. Annoni has worked at the General Surgery Unit I at the Circolo Hospital and Fondazione Macchi in Varese, where he served as a specialty trainee in the "Stomach and Esophageal Cancer Follow-up Clinic." He later held the position of Medical Officer in the same unit, with a focus on endocrine surgery, abdominal wall surgery, oncological surgery, and emergency surgery.

Dr. Annoni is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and is the author and co-author of 25 scientific publications, with an H-index of 9, including book chapters and procedures.
