Biography

Dr. Massimiliano Plastino is a neurologist at Policlinico San Marco and Centro Diagnostico Treviglio.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1993 from the University of Reggio Calabria and later obtained his specialization in Neurology with honors in 1998 from the Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro.

Dr. Plastino's areas of interest include numerous neurological conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders, headaches, diseases of the peripheral nervous system and neuromuscular junction, as well as insulin resistance in degenerative diseases of the central nervous system and cerebrovascular diseases. He also has extensive experience in electromyography, having performed over 8,000 EMG tests.

He is the author of numerous publications in national and international scientific journals.

He regularly attends national and international courses and congresses, also as a speaker.

Dr. Plastino is a member of the SNO (Italian Society of Hospital Neurologists) and the SISS (Italian Stroke Study Society), where he has served as regional coordinator since 2021.
