Mario Fusco

Dr. Mario Fusco is a spinal surgeon at Villa Erbosa in Bologna and Smart Clinic Le Due Torri.  

After earning his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Naples Federico II in 1994, he specialized in Neurosurgery at the same university in 1999.  

He began his career in Hanover, Germany, where he refined his anatomical knowledge in the Neurosurgery Division at Nordstadt Hospital. Upon returning to Italy, he served as a Level I Medical Director at the Neurosurgery Unit of the Ospedali Riuniti in Bergamo and later as Assistant Head of the Spinal Surgery Unit at the Humanitas-Gavazzeni Clinic in Bergamo.  

Dr. Fusco was a member of the Gemini Group, “Institute for Research and Therapy of Postural, Gait, and Spinal Pathologies” in Bergamo, where he held the position of Scientific Director of the Gemini Clinic and Head of the Division of Therapy and Rehabilitation for Spinal Cord Pathologies. He oversaw and coordinated research programs and medical, physical, and rehabilitative therapies from a scientific perspective.  

In December 2019, he founded the OSC (Orobic Spine Center) in Bergamo, a multidisciplinary team dedicated to clinical research and the development of medical, rehabilitative, and surgical treatments for spinal pathologies.  

Dr. Fusco specializes in medical, rehabilitative, and surgical therapies for spinal conditions. When surgery is required, he employs the most advanced microsurgical, neuronavigated, and robotic techniques.  

He regularly attends national and international conferences in his field.
