Biography

Dr. Marco Paris is a cardiac surgeon at the Cardiac Surgery Unit of the San Rocco Clinical Institute in Brescia.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Perugia in 2007. In 2013, he completed his specialization in Cardiac Surgery at the University of Pavia.

After his medical degree in 2007, he attended the first theoretical-practical training course in Cardiac Surgery at the "Santa Maria" Hospital in Terni - Cardio-Thoracic-Vascular Department. The same year, he registered with the Medical Surgeons Order of the Province of Perugia No. 6993.

Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous conferences and training courses in:

  • Cardiac Surgery
  • Cardiology
  • Cardiac Anesthesia
  • Transplantation
  • Experimental Clinical Studies

During his career as a specialist in cardiac surgery, he has performed:

  • Pre-operative and post-operative management of cardiac surgery patients
  • Surgical activity in cardiac and thoracic surgery alongside staff physicians in approximately 2,000 interventions
  • Activities in the hemodynamic room during diagnostic procedures such as coronary angiographies, ventriculographies, aortographies, and placement of caval filters
  • Surgical activities in cardiac surgery and vascular surgery as an assistant in approximately 3,000 interventions

He has also participated in:

  • The Heart and Lung Transplant program, coordinating peri-operative phases and post-operative management of transplant patients
  • The harvesting of thoracic organs from donors
  • The TAVI program (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation)

Since 2018, he has been working at the San Rocco Clinical Institute in the Cardiac Surgery Unit, where he focuses on:

  • Cardiac surgery
  • Cardio-thoracic vascular surgery
  • Heart failure surgery
  • Heart transplantation
  • Transcatheter valve implantation
  • "Hybrid" coronary revascularization
  • Minimally invasive surgical techniques.
