Marco Losa

Professor Marco Losa is Chief of the Neuroendocrine Division at the Department of Neurosurgery at the San Raffaele Research Hospital in Milan. Holds a position of Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University (UniSR).

In the last 30 years followed over 5,000 patients with pituitary diseases. Professor Losa pays particular attention to an early follow-up of patients undergoing pituitary surgery at his department - nearly 4,000 cases over the last 30 years.

Professor Losa applied active follow-up of more than 600 patients treated by Gamma Knife Radiosurgery for a pituitary tumor. Has an experience in treating over 30 patients with aggressive pituitary tumors needing chemotherapy.

Author of over 200 experimental and clinical articles on the therapeutic outcome of medical, surgical, and radiation treatments for patients with different types of pituitary disease and hypopituitarism.

Professor Losa is an active member of the European Society of Neuroendocrinology, of the Endocrine Society, and of the Italian Society of Endocrinology.
