Biography

Dr. Luca Santoleri is the Director of the Topical Hemoderivatives Production Service at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan. His professional career began with a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, where he obtained his medical license in 1996. He later completed his specialization in Hematology at the University of Pavia, graduating with honors.

Throughout his career, he has served as a Consultant in Transfusion Medicine at the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi of the San Donato Group, Italian Group for Bone Marrow Transplantation (GITMO) Representative for the collection of peripheral and bone marrow hematopoietic stem cells, and Collection Facility Director for the SIMT of Niguarda Hospital as part of the JACIE (Joint Accreditation Committee ISCT-EBMT) accreditation program. From 2006 to 2011, he was Head of the Quality Assurance System at Niguarda Ca’ Granda Hospital in Milan within the accreditation program for hematopoietic stem cell transplant centers of the Italian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology.

Author and co-author of more than 100 scientific publications in national and international journals, he is also a member of the Italian Society of Immunohematology and Transfusion Medicine and Regional Delegate on the National Board of the Italian Society of Apheresis and Cellular Manipulation.
