Luca Pastori

Dr. Luca Pastori is a cardiologist at the Cardiology Unit and the Coronary Care Unit of Policlinico San Pietro. He also collaborates with Smart Clinic.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2000. Subsequently, in 2007, he completed his specialization in Cardiology at the University of Insubria.

Throughout his career, he has gained experience in performing key cardiological procedures such as:

• Transthoracic echocardiography
• Placement of intra-aortic balloon pump
• Central venous catheterization
• Caval filter placement
• Catheters for non-invasive blood pressure measurement from peripheral arterial access
• Temporary electrode catheterization in the right ventricle
• Pericardiocentesis
• Thoracentesis

He has performed 1,800 coronary angiographies, including over 700 coronary angioplasties as the primary operator. He has attended practical and theoretical courses and participated in cardiology congresses.
