Biography
Dr. Livia Maria Carlotta Diehl is a cardiology specialist at Casa di Cura La Madonnina.
After earning her degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1993, she specialized in Cardiology at the same university in 1997.
From 1990 to 1998, she was a member of the Arrhythmia Study Unit and the Long QT Syndrome Study Center, directed by Prof. Peter J. Schwartz at the IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan.
From 1998 to 2023, Dr. Diehl served as Medical Director at the IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan, where she was responsible for non-invasive cardiological diagnostics, focusing on cardiac imaging, as well as in ergometry and arrhythmias, emergency care, and the Coronary Unit.
At Casa di Cura La Madonnina, Dr. Diehl specializes in non-invasive cardiological diagnostics, particularly in cardiac imaging (transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, stress echo, transcranial echo, and bubble test), as well as ergometry and arrhythmias.
With 30 years of experience in ischemic heart disease, cardiomyopathies, valvular heart diseases, heart failure, and arrhythmias, she has authored approximately 70 scientific articles in national and international journals.
