Biography

Dr. Leonardo Latella is a surgeon specializing in hip and knee prosthetic surgery at the Orthopedic Surgery Unit of Casa di Cura Villa Chiara in Bologna.  

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Florence in 2004, where he also completed his specialization in Orthopedics in 2008. In 2016, he earned a Ph.D. in Locomotor System Pathologies from the same institution.  

Dr. Latella contributed to the establishment and organization of the Center of Excellence for Joint Replacement in Tuscany, where he worked for ten years, focusing on surgical treatments for hip and knee conditions. He was also responsible for the center’s scientific research activities, coordinating the Gait Analysis Laboratory and producing numerous international publications, as well as presentations at hundreds of national and international conferences.  

Since 2019, he has continued his surgical work in Bologna, establishing a new reference center for prosthetic surgery in Italy. Through advanced technologies, he has introduced technical improvements that have further enhanced surgical outcomes.  

Dr. Latella is a highly specialized orthopedic surgeon, performing hundreds of hip and knee prosthetic surgeries annually using state-of-the-art techniques:
