Giuseppe Barone
Biography
Dr. Giuseppe Barone is a vertebrologist and surgeon of the I Department of Spine Surgery of the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi.
In 2011, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Perugia, where in 2017 he received a specialization with honors in orthopedics and traumatology. Then he interned at the Department of Spine Surgery Policlinico Agostino Gemelli in Rome.
The main areas of clinical and surgical interest of Dr. Barone:
- lumbago/lumboishialgia - back pain - dorsalgia - cervicalgia/cervicobrachialgia,
- cervical, spinal and lumbar protrusions and herniated discs,
- congenital or acquired spondylolisthesis, disc diseases, degenerative pathology of the spine,
- scoliosis in childhood/adolescence,
- adult scoliosis,
- dorsal hyperkyphosis,
- posture disorders,
- cervical, spinal and lumbar stenosis,
- fractures of the vertebrae as a result of injuries and fragility/osteoporosis.
He is a member of reputable scientific societies, such as:
- SIOT - Italian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology,
- AO Spine,
- GIS/SICV - Italian Society of Spine Surgery/Italian Division for Scoliosis,
- Italian Society of Spine Surgery and Eurospine - European Spine Society.
He is also a member and advisor of the Association of Italian Doctors Volley-AMIV.
Author of scientific publications in specialized indexed journals, actively participates as a speaker at numerous national and international congresses.
