Giovanni Bua
Biography
Dr. Giovanni Bua is the Head of the Specialist Rehabilitation Unit and the Physiotherapy and Functional Rehabilitation Service at the Istituto Clinico San Rocco.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Palermo in 2003. He completed his specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Messina in 2007.
Dr. Bua conducts physical medicine consultations for orthopedic, neurological conditions, and sports-related injuries. He also performs joint injections.
At the Rehabilitation Service of the Istituto Clinico San Rocco in Ome, he provides rehabilitative treatments for orthopedic conditions (post-trauma and post-surgical recovery), neurological disorders, rheumatological conditions (such as arthritis and fibromyalgia), temporomandibular joint dysfunctions, and pelvic floor disorders.
Physical therapy treatments offered include laser therapy, Tecar therapy, magnetotherapy, and TENS.
Dr. Bua also performs inpatient clinical activities for orthopedic and traumatic post-surgical issues, including hip and knee prostheses.
At the Istituto Clinico Città di Brescia, he has worked in the department for Severe Acquired Brain Injuries, gaining experience in the clinical management and rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions such as:
- Cranial trauma
- Stroke
- Cerebral hemorrhages
- Patients in a vegetative state
He has also managed patients with Parkinson's disease and other degenerative conditions.
Currently, Dr. Bua provides outpatient consultations and physiatric visits for patients with orthopedic, sports trauma, and neurological issues. He also performs joint injection procedures.
