Gianmaria Mauri

Dr. Gianmaria Mauri is a surgeon at the General Surgery Unit of Policlinico San Pietro and also collaborates with Smart Clinic.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery with honors in 2010 and completed his specialization in General Surgery with honors at the University of Milan-Bicocca in 2016.

Dr. Mauri began his career in 2016 as an assistant in General Surgery, focusing on emergency surgery. Since July 2017, he has been working at Policlinico San Pietro in Ponte San Pietro (BG), where he currently holds the role of assistant in General Surgery.

His main areas of interest include minimally invasive surgery for both malignant gastrointestinal tract conditions and benign colorectal conditions, as well as biliopancreatic and abdominal wall conditions. He also has a particular interest in proctological pathology.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mauri serves as a tutor for surgical trainees from the University of Milan-Bicocca.

He is a co-author of publications in indexed journals, with a particular focus on colorectal and pancreatic surgery.
