Gianmarco Regazzola

Dr. Gianmarco Regazzola is an orthopedic surgeon at Istituto Clinico S. Anna.  

He graduated with top honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Insubria in Varese in 2010 and later obtained his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology with honors in 2015 from the same university.  

Between 2014 and 2017, he further refined his expertise through an accredited Fellowship with the Australian Orthopaedic Association, focusing on hip and knee prosthetic surgery as well as knee reconstructive surgery. During this period, he gained significant experience at hospitals in Sydney, Australia.  

Dr. Regazzola specializes in hip and knee prosthetic surgery, including robotic-assisted procedures, with a particular focus on robotic knee reconstructive surgery.  

He successfully performs knee and hip replacement surgeries using minimally invasive techniques, including the anterior approach. Additionally, he is skilled in revision surgeries for hip and knee prostheses, addressing issues such as implant loosening and infections.  

He is the author of multiple publications and articles in prestigious international scientific journals, including a chapter dedicated to hip and knee prosthetic surgery.  

Dr. Regazzola has presented the findings of his research at numerous conferences in Italy and abroad.
