Giacobbe Toussoun
Biography
Dr. Giacobbe Toussoun is a specialist in Metabolic Diseases and Diabetology, and works in endocrinology and Internal Medicine at Casa di Cura La Madonnina.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1977, and in 1980, he specialized in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at the same university.
From 1980 to 2007, he was in charge of the General Medicine department at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, where he also conducted research in the field of diabetology, focusing particularly on peripheral neuropathy and the neurovegetative system.
At La Madonnina, Dr. Toussoun provides diabetic consultations and hospitalizations, as well as specialist consultations for inpatients and Day Hospital patients. Since 1980, he has also served as an external specialist consultant at the National Cancer Institute of Milan.
His clinical work primarily focuses on:
- The study of diabetes and the prevention of its numerous complications,
- Thyroid disorders,
- Obesity and dyslipidemia.
He regularly participates in the main Diabetology and Internal Medicine congresses, both nationally and internationally, as well as conferences and continuing education courses.
