Gabriele Ersettigh

Dr. Gabriele Ersettigh is the Head of the Medically Assisted Procreation (PMA) Center at Policlinico San Marco.

In the late 1970s, he attended the University of Milan, where he graduated in Medicine and Surgery. He later specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1988, with full marks and honors, after completing a specialization course in Human Reproduction Pathophysiology.

Dr. Ersettigh's work is focused on Obstetric-Gynecological Clinic and Surgery, covering a wide range of both traditional and technologically advanced approaches. He has a particular interest in the use of technology for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes related to uterine and cervical pathologies. He has also been involved in andrological issues for many years, having initially trained at the Andrology Clinic of the Mangiagalli Hospital in Milan. He routinely performs hysteroscopic examinations in the clinic using vaginoscopic methods for the removal of large fibroids, polyps, septate uteri (including complete septa), and endometrial ablations, often utilizing a rectoscope under general anesthesia.

Dr. Ersettigh has been an accredited physician with the Medical Fetal Foundation of London for over 10 years, bringing with him 30 years of delivery room experience. Over the past decade, he has participated in numerous conferences and congresses on assisted reproduction, including andrological issues, where he has also served as a speaker.

He was previously in charge, in collaboration with embryologist Dr. Nicoletta Maxia, of the accredited PMA Center at the former Istituto Clinico Sant'Ambrogio (now IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi Sant'Ambrogio). There, he managed the pharmacological induction, oocyte retrieval, and embryo transfer, ensuring strict compliance with Italian legislation. He personally oversaw each step of the process for patients entering the Medically Assisted Procreation program, from the initial phase to the final embryo transfer.
