Francesco Stagni
Biography
Dr. Francesco Stagni is an anesthesiologist and intensivist responsible for the Anesthesia and Semi-intensive Care Unit at Villa Erbosa in Bologna. He also works at Villa Chiara.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna in 2002. He later specialized in Anesthesia, Resuscitation, and Intensive Care and Pain Management in 2006. In 2018, he obtained a High-Level Certification in "Operating Room Management" from the University of Bologna.
After completing his medical degree and specialization in Anesthesia and Resuscitation, he served as a medical director in the Anesthesia and Resuscitation service at Sassuolo Hospital, part of AUSL Modena.
In 2010 and 2012, he worked as a medical director during humanitarian missions for plastic and reconstructive surgery with Interethnos Interplast Italy in Bangladesh at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
From 2014 to 2019, he served as the Scientific Director of the High-Fidelity Medical Simulation Center "Salute & Formazione" at Sassuolo Hospital.
In 2014, as a recalled medical officer, he participated in NATO missions, including:
- "ISAF" (International Security Assistance Force) in Afghanistan
- "Operation Ocean Shield" in Africa
Dr. Stagni's clinical work focuses on researching and studying loco-regional anesthesia techniques in orthopedic surgery, with particular interest in:
- Fast Track Surgery
- Hip and knee prosthetic surgery
- TIVA-TCI anesthesia
- Spine Surgery
