Francesco Messina
Biography
Dr. Francesco Messina is a dermatologist at the Psocare Unit of IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.
In 2016, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Padua, followed by a specialization in Dermatology and Venereology from the same university in 2022.
Throughout his career, he has gained extensive professional experience. Currently, in addition to general dermatology and dermatologic surgery (biopsies, removal of nevi, and skin tumors), he focuses on the treatment of inflammatory dermatoses with biological drugs.
From 2022 to 2023, he played a key role as a researcher at the University of Lausanne/CHUV in Switzerland. During this period, he deepened his understanding of the pathogenesis of inflammatory dermatoses such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
He also served as Chief Medical Officer responsible for consultations on hidradenitis suppurativa and autoimmune dermatological diseases.
Dr. Messina's primary focus is on the advanced treatment of inflammatory dermatological diseases, with particular attention to:
