Federica Marazzi

Dr. Federica Marazzi is a General Surgeon and Proctologist in the Coloproctology and Pelvic Floor Surgery Unit at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato. She also collaborates with IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant'Ambrogio, Casa di Cura La Madonnina, Istituto Clinico Villa Aprica, Smart Clinic Varedo, and Poliambulatorio San Donato.

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2009 and specialized in General Surgery at the same university in 2016. In the same year, she obtained the SIUMB Diploma from the University of Pavia. In 2018, she received a Diploma in Transanal Ultrasound and Rectal Endoscopy at Treviso Hospital. In 2019, she attended the Advanced Course in Esophageal and Rectal Manometry in Milan.

Dr. Marazzi currently focuses on:

• Colorectal surgery
• Proctological surgery
• Pelvic floor surgery

Her training has centered on oncological surgery (especially sarcomas, GIST, peritoneum, thyroid, upper GI, and colorectal) using both traditional and minimally invasive approaches. She has also dealt with wall pathology (hernias and incisional hernias) and benign pathology, both elective and emergency (gallbladder, appendix, etc.).

In recent years, she has deepened her knowledge of colorectal and proctological pathology through targeted courses to learn specialized diagnostic techniques, including anorectal manometry and transanal ultrasound, for better diagnosis and management of these conditions.

Dr. Marazzi handles the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of all pathologies related to the colorectum and pelvic floor, both benign and functional (diverticular disease, rectal, uterine, and bladder prolapse, hemorrhoids, fistulas, fissures, pilonidal cysts) and malignant (colorectal and anal cancer).
