Fabrizio Formenti

Dr. Fabrizio Formenti is the Head of the Ophthalmology Unit at Istituti Clinici Zucchi in Monza, a position he has held since 1997. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1984 and specialized in Ophthalmology at the same institution four years later, with a score of 70/70 cum laude.

Dr. Formenti’s expertise primarily includes cataract surgery using femtosecond laser technology, the implantation of toric, multifocal, and accommodative intraocular lenses, glaucoma surgery, and refractive surgery with excimer laser (correction of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism).

He has authored 35 scientific publications in both Italian and international journals and has performed over 20,000 cataract surgeries.

Additionally, Dr. Formenti is a member of several national and international scientific societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Italian Ophthalmological Society, the Lombard Ophthalmological Society, and the Society of Private Hospital Ophthalmologists.
