Biography
Dr. Eyad Mohammed Saud Elghouty is an anesthesiologist and intensivist at the Anesthesia, Intensive Care, and Resuscitation Unit of the San Rocco Institute in Brescia.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Brescia in 2008 and obtained his medical license the same year. In 2015, he specialized in Anesthesia, Intensive Care, and Resuscitation at the University of Brescia.
From 2015 to 2017, Dr. Elghouty served as a medical director in Anesthesia and Intensive Care at the 1st Anesthesia and Intensive Care Service of ASST Spedali Civili di Brescia, where he worked as an anesthetist in operating rooms across various specialties, as well as an intensivist in emergency rooms and on advanced rescue vehicles.
Since 2017, he has been working as an anesthesiologist at both the Istituto Clinico S. Anna and the Istituto Clinico San Rocco.
Throughout his career, between 2014 and 2019, Dr. Elghouty has participated in several advanced training courses, including:
- Basic Hemodynamics in Anesthesia and Intensive Care;
- Mechanical Ventilation Techniques;
- Mechanical Ventilation: From Theory to Clinical Practice;
- Mass Emergency Management;
- Obstetric-Neonatal and Pediatric Emergency Management;
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS);
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation for High-Fidelity SIN Executives;
- Pediatric Basic Life Support Defibrillation for Healthcare Providers.
He also contributed to the multicenter, prospective, observational POPULAR study published in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, Volume 7, ISSUE 2, P129-140, February 01, 2019: "Post-anaesthesia pulmonary complications after use of muscle relaxants."
