Biography

Dr. Enzo Massimo Caruso is the Head of the Hand Surgery Center at the Istituto Clinico San Siro in Milan.

He specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Milan in 1996, and after obtaining his degree equivalency in the United States, he went to Boston. There, he attended the prestigious Harvard University as a research fellow on chondrocyte transplants in 1994. His stay in the U.S. continued until 1999, when he completed his Fellowship in Pediatric Surgery.

His practice focuses on Hand Surgery in trauma settings, treatment of rheumatoid hand conditions, elective surgery for compressive syndromes, and rhizarthrosis. Dr. Enzo Massimo Caruso performs thousands of procedures as the primary operator in these areas.

In terms of scientific research, his contributions include articles in national and international journals, presentations and papers at conferences and congresses. He is a co-author of several books, including Artriti croniche dell'infanzia (1992) and Consenso informato in Chirurgia Ortopedica (2004).

He collaborates with the Court of Milan, where he has been appointed as a Technical Consultant (CTU) multiple times in matters of road accident and medical malpractice. He is also highly active in forensic and orthopedic expert assessments.
