Biography

Dr. Emanuele Franchi is a specialist in Orthopedics at the Istituto Clinico Villa Aprica.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1981 from the University of Pavia and specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1990 at the University of Milan.

From 1983 to 2010, he worked at the Orthopedic and Physiotherapy Center of Lanzo d'Intelvi in various roles, notably as Head of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit from 1994.

From 2011 to 2022, he was the Head of the Orthopedics Unit A; he is currently a Senior Consultant at the same unit.

His surgical activities include: hip prosthetic surgery (primary and revision), using both traditional and minimally invasive techniques; knee prosthetic surgery (primary and revision); arthroscopic surgery (knee for meniscal, ligamentous, and cartilaginous pathologies); hand surgery; and foot surgery.

Dr. Franchi is a member of several scientific societies, including the Italian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology, the Italian Society of Foot Surgery, the Italian Society of Knee Surgery, the Italian Society of Arthroscopy, the Italian Association of Reprosthetic Surgery, and the Italian Society of Oxygen-Ozone Therapy (SIOOT).

He has participated in numerous national and international conferences as a speaker and expert and has authored several publications in prestigious scientific journals.
