Dr. Domenico Tamburrino is the Medical Director in the Department of Pancreatic Surgery at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele under the supervision of Professor Massimo Falconi.

After receiving a diploma in Medicine and Surgery from the Biomedical University of Rome in 2008, he specialized in general surgery at the University of Verona in 2015. Finally, in 2020, he received his doctorate in the field of oncology of the digestive tract at the University of Rome La Sapienza.

The main areas of research include: exocrine and endocrine neoplasms of the pancreas and gastrointestinal tract; complications after pancreatic surgery.

Dr. Tamburrino is a member of the following scientific societies: Italian Pancreatic Research Association (AISP), European Society of Neuroendocrine Tumors (ENETS), European Pancreatic Club (EPC), ItaNET, Society of Neuroendocrine Tumors of Great Britain and Ireland, European-African Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (E-AHPBA)

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Pro-Profile Society of Young Surgeons (SPIGC).
