Biography

Professor Delfino Luigi Legnani is a pulmonologist at Casa di Cura La Madonnina.

After graduating in 1973 from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan, she specialized in 1976 in physiology and diseases of the respiratory system, at the same university.

Professor Legnani began his university career in 1977-78, working as an intern at the University of Milan, then as an assistant assistant to the head, a freelance lecturer and finally a professor between 1978 and 1986.

From 1978 to 1979, the professor also conducts training at the Midhurst Medical Research Institute in Midhurst, UK

From 1986 to 1994, he was an associate professor of Respiratory Diseases and an assistant at the Ospedalierio Presso l'Università/Research Clinical Institute of the Ca'Granda Foundation Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan. In parallel with teaching, from 1994 to 2000 he headed the II Structural Division of Pulmonology of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato. Starting from the new millennium until 2016, he held the position of head of the II level, head of the Department of Pulmonology Ospedale L. Sacco in Milan.

Professor Legnani deals with all pathologies of the upper and lower respiratory tract and, in particular, respiratory infections, at Casa di Cura La Madonnina, where he is currently a consultant pulmonologist in self-employment mode.

Throughout her career, she has also been active in research: she as an author has published 50 papers, articles, book chapters and reviews, and has attended and participated in numerous national and international conferences.
