Biography

Dr. Corrado Italia has been the Director of the Oncology Radiotherapy Service at Policlinico San Pietro in Bergamo since 2013.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1981. Following this, he specialized in Clinical Oncology at the University of Parma. In the late 1980s, he returned to the University of Milan to complete a specialization in Radiology, graduating in 1993 with a focus on Oncological Radiology.

Throughout his formative years, Dr. Italia was highly active in both research (specifically in "in vivo" antitumor chemotherapy) and clinical practice (Internal Medicine and Oncology Radiotherapy). He served as Deputy Head of Oncology Radiotherapy at the S. Pio X Clinic in Milan until 2003 and then at the Ospedali Riuniti in Bergamo until 2013.

In addition to his professional roles, Dr. Italia has volunteered at the San Martino Center for Solidarity in Milan, assisting disadvantaged individuals. He has also provided specialized consultancy in artistic anatomy for the NABA Academy in Milan. He is a member of national and international scientific associations in Oncology Radiotherapy and was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Medicine and the Person for several years.
