Claudio Manzini
Biography
Dr. Claudio Manzini is the Head of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit I at Istituti Clinici Zucchi in Monza. Since the 2001-2002 academic year, he has been a Contract Professor of Orthopedics for the Physiokinesitherapy degree program at the University of Milan.
He began his training in 1981, graduating from the University of Milan. He specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1986 and in Legal Medicine and Insurance in 1990. His Clinical Fellowship in Sports Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery and Athletic Medicine allowed him to further study the field in San Antonio, Texas (1991).
In his teaching role, he has been a Contract Professor of Orthopedics for the Physiokinesitherapy degree program at the University of Milan since the 2001-2002 academic year.
He has performed over 18,000 surgical procedures as the lead operator, with a particular focus on Prosthetic Surgery, sports trauma, regenerative medicine, and tissue engineering. He has organized and spoken at numerous national and international congresses. His work has been published in national sector journals.
His involvement in sports medicine is supported by his role as the Medical Director of teams participating in the Italian Serie A basketball league from 1988 to 1994.
