Biography

Dr. Claudio Mangia is the Head of the Orthopedic Unit, Section III, at Istituto Clinico S. Anna in Brescia.

He completed his medical training at the University of Milan, earning his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1981 and his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1987.

Dr. Mangia has specialized in knee, shoulder, hip, and other joint surgeries, with a particular focus on arthroscopy and prosthetic surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder. He performs over 9,000 arthroscopies and surgical interventions on the knee and shoulder, maintaining an average of 450 procedures annually.

He has participated in training programs in Germany, Switzerland, and France, and regularly attends specific conferences and cadaver labs on knee and shoulder surgery. Dr. Mangia is a member of several professional societies, including the Italian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SIOT), the Italian Society of Knee Surgery (SIGASCOT), and the Italian Society of Hip Surgery (SIA).
