Claudio Magni

Dr. Claudio Magni is an ophthalmologist at the Ophthalmology Unit of Policlinico San Marco and of Policlinico San Pietro. He also collaborates with Smart Clinic.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery with top honors from the University of Bologna in 1985 and completed his specialization in Ophthalmology with the highest grades at the University of Modena in 1989.

Throughout his career, Dr. Magni has worked with the Ophthalmology Units of various Italian hospitals, focusing on ward, outpatient, and operating room activities.

He has extensive experience in ophthalmologic examinations and instrumental diagnostics, particularly in performing tomography, optical coherence tomography, diagnosing ocular surface dysfunction, and conducting cataract, glaucoma, and vitreoretinal surgeries. He is also skilled in performing laser interventions for iridotomies, capsulotomies, and refractive surgery with excimer lasers.

From 2008 to 2020, Dr. Magni worked at the Istituti Clinici Zucchi in Monza, where he was responsible for vitreoretinal surgery.

In addition, he has been collaborating for several years with Janach, a company specializing in designing and manufacturing surgical instruments for cataract and vitreoretinal surgeries.

Dr. Magni has performed numerous cataract surgeries, refractive surgeries, glaucoma surgeries, and vitreoretinal surgeries as the lead surgeon.
