Biography
Dr. Carmine Cucciniello is an orthopedic surgeon at the Sports Traumatology and Minimally Invasive Joint Surgery Center of Istituto Clinico San Siro.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1981 from the University of Milan, where he specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1986 and in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1991. After his graduation, he continued his education, earning a specialization in Psychotherapy from the Italian Medical Association for the Study of Hypnosis in Milan in 2014.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous foreign (London Hospital and Plymouth Hospital in England, Boston Mass General Hospital in the United States, Krankenhaus Klinik Rummelsberg in Germany, University of Yamanashi Hospital in Japan) and Italian hospitals, particularly in Milan. He has held the role of Director, successively, of the following Units: Geriatric Orthopedics and Traumatology, Corrective Orthopedics, Orthopedics and Traumatology CTO, and the Hip Surgery Center.
Over the years, he has gained solid experience in hip surgery (arthroscopic, osteotomy, and both primary and revision hip prosthesis), a field he has continued to deepen by participating in numerous national and international congresses and study visits abroad.
An experienced surgeon in minimally invasive hip surgery, he is the author of the innovative short-stem hip prosthesis BreXis and several scientific articles published in national and international journals.
