Biography
Dr. Carmen Maccagnano is a urologist at Smart Clinic.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2005 from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, where she also specialized in Urology in 2010, both with honors. During her training, she gained experience abroad at the University of Rotterdam, focusing on pediatric urology.
She furthered her expertise in urological, nephrological, and andrological ultrasound diagnostics by first attending a specialization course at the University of Perugia in 2006, and then completing a second-level master's degree at the University of Pisa in 2009.
Additional courses in healthcare management followed: in 2018, she obtained a master's degree in Management of Healthcare and Socio-Healthcare Organizations from SDA Bocconi University, and further specialized at the European School of Urology. She also attended several master's programs and courses in urological oncology.
Her main areas of interest include oncological urology, urinary disorders, urinary tract infections, ultrasound procedures, and pediatric urology.
She is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications and specialized texts and has been a speaker and moderator at national and international courses and conferences.
