Carlo Verna
Biography
Dr. Carlo Verna is a gastroenterology consultant at the Istituto Clinico Città di Pavia.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery and obtained his specialization from the University of Turin.
Dr. Verna has worked as a Consultant at the Digestive Endoscopy Unit at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, UK, and at the Gastroenterology Division at Truro Hospital, UK.
In Italy, after 15 years of work as an Assistant and then as a Deputy in General Surgery, he obtained his specialization in Gastroenterology and worked at Cardinal Massaia Hospital in Asti from 2013 to 2018.
In 2018, he took over as Director of the High-Complexity Endoscopy Unit at the Hospital Company of Alessandria, and in 2021, he became the Director of the Gastroenterology Unit at the ASL of Alessandria.
Dr. Verna has a particular interest in diagnostic and operative endoscopy of the digestive tract and bile ducts.
He has published 16 articles in national and international journals and has participated in numerous conferences in Italy and abroad. He is a member of the Italian Society of Digestive Endoscopy (S.I.E.D.).
