Biography

Dr. Barbara Baroni is the Head of the Orthopedic Rehabilitation Unit at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato in Milan. She completed her medical degree and specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pavia, graduating in 2003.

Between 2003 and 2017, Dr. Baroni attended various advanced courses that enhanced her expertise in physiatrics and orthopedic rehabilitation. She gained proficiency in the use of the Functional Independence Measure (FIM) scale for disability assessment, earned diplomas in Manual Lymphatic Drainage according to the Vodder method, Immediate Life Support (ILS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and completed the ISICO (Italian Scientific Spine Institute) Master’s program on the rehabilitative treatment of spinal deformities. She also served as a speaker at the theoretical and practical course on Articular Infiltration Technique.

For nearly a decade, Dr. Baroni collaborated with the University of Milan, where she was involved in tutoring and teaching in the fields of Physiatry, Geriatrics, Sports Medicine, and the rehabilitation and prevention of orthopedic and functional diseases.
